DEATH IN THE FOREST Festival Changes Location — Again

May 18, 2006

Rockland County, NY event firm Watchers Entertainment has once again changed the location for its Death in the Forest festival. The latest announcement comes after Town of Mamakating officials refused to grant the company permission to hold the concert at the Catskill Mountain Ranch and Camping Club in the Town of Mamakating in Sullivan County.

"There is no concert," town Building Inspector Brian McGorman told the Times Herald-Record earlier today. "You're going to have to talk to our town attorney."

According to Watchers Entertainment President Theodore Morris, the "official — and last — venue for Death In The Forest 2006" is Club Avalon, located at 47 West 20th Street (at 6th Avenue) in New York City. The show — which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 20 — "will now be running from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. to meet time constraints," according to Morris. "All the same bands will be playing, though, I assure you."
